Human beings have everything within them to be the best version of themselves.
We get the best outcomes when we focus on our strengths, and solve our problems within the context of how we interact with each other.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is therapy? I consider therapy to be a reflective space for useful change or exploration to occur. In essence, therapy is a conversation, a collaboration and an invitation to feel, think and behave in new or different ways.
What is your style of therapy? I draw from a diverse range of skills and clinical expertise to ensure therapy is a worthwhile and valuable experience for you and your family while you seek understanding or change. I operate within the Integrative Model of therapy, which simply means I use different approaches to meet my client's needs. It means I don't believe there is one set way to help you, and that my approach depends on your individual needs and personal situation.
What happens at our first session? How long do we meet? Our initial session will identify what is most useful for you & your partner, or for your family, to address areas of change you would like to achieve. Subsequent sessions are uniquely tailored to achieve those aims. We can agree on a timescale of sessions (usually 6-12), and this is reviewed regularly to ensure you are getting what you want from therapy. Tasks may be suggested to allow for maximal change to happen in between sessions. Frequency of sessions will be decided between us in our initial session. This could be weekly or fortnightly for individual, couple and family work. The work will be reviewed at six session intervals. Your feedback is central to the progress of the work.
How do I know therapy is worth the money? Investing in therapy can be a big decision. Whilst working through difficulties can seem daunting, working collaboratively at a pace that suits you, can make this experience hugely rewarding. A confidential space for reflection, action and change is assured.
My sessions are £90- £130 per hour. One session is typically one hour.
